Audrey Abbe is the "SoCal Banjo Gal" of Ventura County! Ms. Abbe is an award winning clawhammer banjo musician from Ventura, CA. She started her banjo journey at age 10, captivated by the rhythmic strumming of the Appalachian clawhammer sound. Ms. Abbe has performed at numerous school talent shows, old-time music competitions, and open mics within Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Her clawhammer heroes are Abigail Washburn, Andy Thorn, and Chris Coole.
You can find Abbe playing at the Downtown Ventura Farmer's Market on Saturday Mornings, performing in The Traveling Nobodies band, and teaching private banjo lessons. Follow her at @socal_banjogal
The Traveling Nobodies are a folk, country, and classic rock cover band. The group includes Matt Bartels on lead guitar and vocals, Audrey Abbe on banjo, Nate Berry and Matt Hershberger on rhythm guitar and vocals, Appalachia Sanford on bass and vocals, and Alex Ford on drums. They cover songs from artists like The Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, Wilco and more! They frequently perform at the downtown Ventura Farmers Market and other local events.
